Purchasers of 80 Cavanagh Street, Cheltenham. All smiles after the auction.

An emotional day for our four vendors, siblings who said their goodbyes to the family home they grew up in. After great results at 5 Friendship Square and 23 Keamy Avenue where several interested parties and onlookers were present, we weren’t surprised when a large crowd also showed up at 80 Cavanagh Street on auction day.
The auctioneer, Phil Rawlings, began calling for bids and after the usual quiet/sluggish start, a gentleman offered $450,000 as an opening bid. In no time, the crowd were highly interactive with a few confident bids from 5 different groups. Some other interested parties were knocked out pretty quick as the bids did come thick and fast at one stage. After approx the $560k level, bidding slowed down and we had to seek our vendors’ instructions. The property was confirmed as being “on the market”, so the auctioneer handed control back over to the crowd to finish the auction. The bids staggered down to $1,000 bids (as expected) and eventually sold at $584,000 under the hammer.
The lucky purchasers have secured a fantastic piece of real estate in a sought after area. Along with this home comes a lovely big back yard, every amenity nearby that one could ask for and, of course, fantastic neighbours!
